What doe this quote mean? What did Nietzsche mean when he wrote "And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you"? | I'm assuming when you say "one more" that excludes "These are the times that try men's souls". These should do the job: Two that make the same point: "The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph" "What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly" He expresses that worthy causes are difficult, but rewarding. "Show me your faith by your works" Basicaly he is saying both that the faithful should act in accordance to their faith and that God will provide, provided men work towards their goals. "'Tis the business of little minds to shrink" Is dismissing those who will walk away from conflict. I hope this helps...(Answered by Gerardo G) | |

| What a tasty question, we could spend 3 days on this, by then it will be Christmas Day. So, it means that justice needs to be seen, recognised and acknowledged by the majority of the community it serves. It is not enough for one or two people to make a law and implement it in secret.
