| I believe you are looking for "Corduroy" by Don Freeman. The bear has one green overalls and is on the shelf in a store and thinks no one has bought him because he has lost is button. So he goes hunting for it at night and goes upstairs to the furniture dept and sees buttons on mattresses when the nightwatchman finds him and puts him back on the shelf. Looking for the title of a children's book that was about a child gets distracted and follows a momma bear. My boyfriend remembers laughing at the pictures in the book whe he was little. But he doesn't remember the title. I wanted to get it for him. I believe that the story goes something like - when mother and child were picking berries, a mother bear and baby bear were too. We are going on a bear hunt...a great BIG bear hunt...Anyone remember how that goes? Im trying to remember how that goes from back in the day of elementary school. | I asked the same question of my husband, and we debated it at length. (Thank you, Noggin, for hijacking my brain and demanding no ransom!) We decided that it's because adult bears look so much alike that they need clothing to tell who is who. Bear singles bars would be very confusing without some sort of clue who is male and who is female. Child bears don't need to worry about that....(Answered by duder_mcgruder) | |

Names for a fluffy rabbit kindly donated by Build-a-Bear workshop? For my nursery open day Build-a-bear have kindly donated a white fluffy rabbit with hair bobbles over the ears and wearing a fluffy white dressing gown. I need the name of a children's book about a girl bear not allowed to play with the boys, so her mom makes a.. This was a book I had when I was a child and loved! It's about a girl bear who the boys won't let her play with them. So, her Mom makes a special picnic for her. It had a 45 record with it and had a few cute songs in it. Then later the boy bear comes along and she let's him have some of her picnic. I thought there was another book like this but I can't remember what it was about. | You've got to be remembering "Best Friends for Frances" by Russell and Lillian Hoban. Frances and her little sister, Gloria, are actually badgers, but they look a lot like bears. Albert was the boy who wouldn't let Frances play because she was a girl, but in the end they share their picnic lunch with him.
