Is there any way to get better at analogies? I always got straight A's, but now my English teacher threw in analogies to our curriculum and it's lowering my grade badly. It's not like wet:water dry: ?....it's like really really hard stuff, and you have to say what kind of analogy it is. I've been getting A's all year and I don't want to get a bad grade just becasue i'm bad at just one thing. So is there really any way to get better at analogies? ... (Asked by ♥Tami) |

| Honestly, the best way to get better is to practice. There are a lot of websites that have little quizzes and such to practice since analogies are very important on SATs and GREs.... | It's really up to you if you want to take it over but I don't see why you would, that is a good grade. Yes the colleges see your regents grades, they are on the bottom of your official transcript but I doubt they really consider those when it comes to admitting someone into there college, I would think that the act and sat take precedent over a regents , I mean some of the regents are taken so early in your highschool career that by the time you are a senior those earlier regents grades don't give ...(Answered by SHANE J) | |

| I think SAT II's are much less important than the other SAT's. Colleges will consider other factors such as extracurricular activities , your essays and your GPA along with SAT scores. Your GPA is pretty good, so if you have strong extracurriculars and great essays, you probably have a good chance. Also, many colleges are putting less emphasis on SAT's and looking at other factors. Don't stress out too much and good luck!...(Answered by koesne) | |

| first of all STOP PANICING - it only makes things worce. calm yourself down, read your books/notes or what ever you use for 1 hour per subject. Take a break in between and DONT think about what you have just read or about to read. Just relax at those times. You will be fine. If you are a high achiever, then you probably know a lot already Good Luck...(Answered by Adam T) | |

| Hey, I just did some research on the ACT last week myself. I was interested in taking it too! Here's what I know. The ACT has four parts: reading, writing, math, and science. SATs are usually logical while ACT is more of a test that assess how much you've learned in High School. The questions are easier to me but it may be harder for those who are more reasonable and logical than academically strong. It really depends on the test taker I guess, you can't really prove for a fact which is easier or harder. If you think you are ...(Answered by alienhumanhybrid) | |
