| Yes, they can do this. When you sign your FAFSA, you agree that you will only accept funding for 1 institution at a time. It is illegal to "double-dip." The reason it took so long was probably because the education department didn't catch the fact that you were in two schools simultaneously until recently. I would contact the 2nd school and ask if you can make payment arrangements....(Answered by Byrdy) | |

| Your outstanding medical bills may indeed be reported to the credit bureaus (some medical institutions report such debts, others dont). However, the impact of those outstanding expenses wont necessarily be devastating to your credit score. I called EquiFax, one of the three major credit reporting agencies. Equifax: http://www.equifax.com/ I spoke with a customer representative at Equifax: outstanding medical bills can affect your credit score, but the impact will likely be negligible. Equifax is far more lenient regarding medical bills, as opposed to a debtor who went on a reckless shopping spree and ran up exorbitant charges they then couldnt pay. So, while your score may be affected by outstanding medical bills, those debts ...(Answered by Onesmaartlady) | |

| are you asking for money? Don't you think his email box is full of appeals like that every single day? Try this instead: There are tons of scholarships that go unclaimed each year. Many $400, $500 or $1000 scholarships never even get applied for because people think it's chump change and not worth applying for. Well, get a few of those $500 scholarships and it'll really make a dent in your tuition bill. People make the mistake of looking for one big scholarship to pay for everything when they should be targeting smaller scholarships that are more regionalized or specialized to their intended ...(Answered by sunshine_today) | |

| they are right, you dont have to pay them until you are done school. if you skip a semester or so, you may have to (depends upon the loan). heres how you check the status of your loan (if its gov). you will need the pin number they sent you to access the info. if you forgot or lost it, just apply for a new pin number (link below). STATUS of your student gov loan or aid: http://www.nslds.ed.gov/nslds_SA/ if you don’t have a PIN yet (for your loan / aid status) apply for one: http://www.pin.ed.gov/PINWebApp/pinindex.jsp ....(Answered by Yvette B yvetteb) | |

| I am a Certifying Official in Illinois, and I just went through update training. Nothing was mentioned about the GI Bill being offered to spouses. Your state or school may offer assistance to Veterans, but nothing has been offered to our University by Federal Veteran's Assistance. Talk to the Unit leader, he or she may be more informed about the education benefits offered to military personnel. Good luck!...(Answered by MyAngelLou) | |
