| I am the same way. My first piano teacher taught me for 12-13 years and I considered her to be more of a friend and mentor than a teacher. I couldn't really tell you why she was so important to me, I can only say that she was VERY important in my life. Kind of like another grandmother I guess. When she died I couldn't even take lessons from another teacher and I now have a tattoo with music notes and her initials in her honor....(Answered by misst311) | |

| Bond prices drop when the general interest rates rise since bonds have a fixed payment stream into the future, and if the interest rate has gone up, the current value of that payment stream is lower. For example, let's assume a 10% $100 and the interest rate at present is 10%. The value of that bond is $100 - you'll get $10/year for the life of the bond, then $100 at the end, which is worth $100 right now (a discussion of present & future value calculations is at http://www.investopedia.com/articles/03/101503.asp ). For argument's sake, let's assume a ...(Answered by user21956) | |
