How can I convince my parents to let me go to a university of my choice ? I want to go to a university called Quest, near Vancouver, Canada, its brand new, and i feel, that its being the first private university in Canada, it is bound to make headlines, but my parents prefer me going to Richmond in London, into which I have been accepted conditionally ( must do 2 summer courses and pass them ), because Richmond is "known"... Also everyone who has been to Richmond claims that its horrible, whereas in Quest being new, i would get a chance to be the first to anything while also sort of changing it for the better.Someone please ... i had this same predicament. i wanted SO BADLY to go to emerson college in boston..or NYU. my dad claimed that they were too expensive, and that id be in debt for a long time after college- which i was willign to deal with. emersons financial aid didnt work out because my dad didnt get his taxes done..and he wouldnt let me turn in the NYU acceptance. sooo i ended up being forced to go to this random college in florida. i did really well this semester, and this summer i am applying to transfer to emerson. my suggestion would ...(Answered by dnahcramail)

How can I get a full scholarship of MBA in Marketing in USA or Australia? I'm in Vietnam. I have gone to work for 2 multinational company as P&G and SC Johnson, but I can't find any sponsorship from my company for this studies as my level-an Assistant Brand Manager-is not enough for them to sponsor such studies. Only very special cases like Marketing Manager may expect to ask for this. I try to contact some scholarship programs. I met all of their requirement on studies expectation but I lack English certificates as they require.I can't attend some academic English course to get IELTS or TOEFL certificate because I busy with my job to earn ... There is no way you can get a scholarship in Australia for a masters as a) you are an international student (scholarships in marketing are rare - science or engineering maybe...) and b) you need ielts to get in even as a full fee paying student for most universities. You might need to look at changing jobs or moving to that country first, getting a job and then getting a company to sponsor you. Good Luck...(Answered by bronwynstanton)

MS in CS at TAMU or MS in CS at Georgia Tech? I'm in a big dilemma. I've got an admit from MS in CS at Georgia Tech, and MS in CS at TAMU too...but, I'm unable to decide which insti. I should join out of the two. In CS, Gatech has the ranking of 7 in US News and Ranking 2007 , while TAMU is at 21st. But gatech has given too many admits this time - heard they've taken around 300 people in CS..almost every body has got through it seems ...don't know how they'll be able to do justice with so many people . I suggest that you inquire at both universities how the studies are organized and which mandatory and which optional classes exist. Look as well for a description of the content of the classes. Then compare what is offered to what you like best. You can as well do google or yahoo searches of the names of the professors connected with the classes. There you can check about their publications and feed back of students about their classes. You might as well inquire at the alumni organizations what they think about the quality of education they received. Think as well about the amount ...(Answered by ab1609)
