Usually if you don't register for school they don't cut a check to the school and thus don't cut a check to you for the remainder. So all you have to do to cancel it is not register. Financial Aid applications are good for 1 full year, so if you decide to go back next semester or in the summer you do not need to reapply, just verify with the financial aid office that you were awarded for the year and there are no holds preventing you from registration. Federal regulations state that a Federal Stafford and Perkins loans will be canceled if the borrower dies -- and, no, they don't specify a manner of death. This "benefit" (for lack of a better term) is an excellent reason why a student should never consolidate his/her loans with a spouse. If this was to occur, then all their loans would be in both students' names and both would have to die in order for the loan to be canceled. As long as it was closed in good standing it is not a negative. However, having some available credit on your credit report is usually viewed in a good light. Too much available is bad....(Answered by Angela C)

Contact local IT businesses and universities/colleges that offer computing courses, and tell them that you'll endorse them and and their products. If it's a big international comp, you should be able to give them an idea of how many people they'd be reaching with your advertising, as to them it should represent a cheap advertising opportunity.
