Nazism and Fascism, when should those words be capitalized?
I'm writing a paper on racial identity in Fascism and it's relation to Nazism, but I can't seem to figure out if those two words should always be capitalized in a sentence. I've looked through several of my sources and some capitalize Fascism all the time while others don't. Nazism, however, is always capitalized. Should "fascism" be capitalized like Nazism or is it completely up to the writer? ... (Asked by Deena)

Actually, I believe that fascism is more accurately descriptive of a set of general beliefs rather than a specific people, whereas "Nazism" is an historical reference to a group of people. I don't know for certain that one is more correct than the other, but in the reading I have done the word Nazi and any derivative thereof is capitalized and fascism or any derivative thereof is not....(Answered by Nico)

Why are there words in a sentence capitalized that I don't want to be capitalized...?
When I write a sentence and an abbreviated word (with a period) the next letter of the next word following is always capitalized...and it really shouldn't be...what can I do to correct thisi [This doesn't happen when I write on this particular Question and Answer site...and I don't know why?] However; for instance this is an example: 'It was 2 A.M. before I got to bed last night.' I've only seen this happen in my SMS with T9, and Microsoft Word does it if you use return to go to the next line rather than text wrapping it will automatically capitalize the first word of the next line and then question my grammar. There must be a way to change the settings/preferences so that it won't automatically correct or format for you. It might be helpful if you indicate which program this occurs in....(Answered by HearKat)
