I don't know of a special name for someone who makes coffins. The person who handles burial arrangements is an undertaker; there may be a term for the sub-specialty of corpse preparation but if so I've never heard it. Apparently the terms 'undertaker' and 'mortician' may be more or less specific, with some overlap, depending on conventional usage at a particular time and place....(Answered by dukefenton)
