Looking for financial aid. Deceased parent, near eastern studies, Jewish.? I was wondering what sort of financial aid is available for me. IHere's all the information I can think of that might be relevant: I'm going to be a sophomore, and my mom died June 29th. Also, if it helps any she had two liver transplants prior to her death. I'm a Near Eastern Studies major (focus in Persian language) with minors in political science and philosophy who will be transferring to a community college for the fall to be with my family,then hopefully transferring to Ohio State Winter Quarter. | Yikes, that's more in debt than both me and my husband were ever in with over 10 years of marriage... I haven't been in school in many years, so I don't know how expensive it is... I can't imagine borrowing more than I can pay back or why they let you do that... I do not think student loans are covered on bankruptcy, since we just went through that because I lost my job due to disability... How can I payoff a $130,000 student loan, with a $30,000 per year income? I got a graduate degree used part of my student loan to try and save a failed business... I consolidated my loans into a private company, College Loan Corp; can then go for the Income Contingent Repayment Plan with this one company I consolidated with? If I declare bankruptcy do I face my private consolidation company in court or the US Government? ... (Asked by greg L) |
