Cross products for 8th graders? It's funny, I take notes on every thing I can think of, but what a cross product is. I tried searching Wikipedia and stuff, but got college-level answers. I'm pulling out my hair on a set of questions for my homework, if I was to name the cross products of the proportion x/15=24/45, what would I put? Would I put 45x=360? Thanks for all of your help! Yes that is correct Cross products are an easier way to solve products or proportions ex. x/15 = 24/45 You just multiply in the shape of an x to get 45x=360. If you wanted to simplify it further you would get x=8, much simpler than dealing with thouse fractions. I assume you are speaking about the atomic bombs in WW2. Here are the points I would cross examine him on. The fact that this would kill countless innocent civilians. It is generally deemed inappropriate to knowingly kill civilians in war. The US often prosecutes people in war crimes tribunals for killing civilians in war, how is it justified that we did it? What is the difference between us bombing innocent Japanese people and the Taliban bombing innocent Americans? How can the group cross the bridge in 17 minutes? A group of 4 people have to cross a bridge. It is dark, and they have to light the path with a flashlight. No more than 2 people can cross the bridge simultaneously, and the group only has 1 flashlight.
