Q.
Academics for a kindergartener?
Okay, I recently started homeschooling my 5 year old because he was falling behind, due to a crowded classroom, an unorganized k-5 program, and a teacher who truly did not care to teach! He has done very well with homeschooling, but how can I be sure that he stays on target, incase we decide that he should return to public school next year? He is very advanced in Language Arts, but we are pretty stuck in Math and Science. Does anyone have any checklists for kindergarten curriculum? We live in Florida, but info. from any state would be very helpful. ... (Asked by mamaofthesweetest4)

Q.
can you please proof read my essay? thank you :)?
Dear Michelle, I have spent a whole month here in Tunisia and have realised that my everyday life is a lot different than the people here. The village is crowded with people of all ages who spend their time working hard to bring food for their family members. Many workers work for about 50 hours a week for part of the year, distributing fertilizers by hands and in the rice fields. Tunisia grows food enough to feed everyone, but unfortunately the food is not evenly distributed among the families. During my visit I continued helping my friend, Rica in the ... (Asked by rsgino7)

First off, what part of Tunisia did you visit? I actually find it hard to believe you visited here at all because there is a law that says every child MUST go to school or their father gets put in the jail. And the former president Habib Bourguiba built hospitals and schools in every town, no matter how small....(Answered by tunisianbelle)

It's not choosing the best topic that matters, but the best topic that interests you most and how you are going to deliver it. People hear the world through different ears, and as such, try to find out who are your audience, and if possible do a little quick survey and to find out what interest them most. Since I'm not part of your audience, I can't tell you exactly which to choose, but like Dale Carnegie said; prepare, prepare and prepare. Set aside some time and find that out and you'll be ahead of the game....(Answered by kinseyng)

I'm ending my sophomore year. Should I got to the local public high school? Its academics are about the same as the private high school, but the public school is a little crowded. if public education is not as good as private school in your area then stay at private school. you can make more friends by going to the public youth centers or the mall or outside school avtivities such as dance or sports. going to public school doesn't always guarantee more friends or more quality friends cause you may be viewed as an outsider or new kid. if you have great social skills and a fun person you should be able to make lots of friends no matter where you go because people always gravitate toward good energy....(Answered by PPC)

I am not sure about the Top 5. The ratings are always objective anyway. I believe any good school nearest to your house is the "best school". That's archaic! Second graders should have 20 kids in a class. You should have 4 sections. I would ask for 2 more sections and then that gives them room to negotiate and you may get one more. Write a letter to the board of education and attend their meetings. Don't be afraid to speak up and talk about how the research supports smaller class sizes...especially in the younger grades. Get people to sign a petition...the squeaky wheel gets the oil...so SQUEAK!...(Answered by miatalise12560)

Q.
How can I make my senior year in high school better?
Please. I just started and nothing is turning out, as I would have liked. The teachers that I know are not there anymore and the freshmen class is huge. There are more of them than the other classes combine. Therefore, to see a familiar face is nice, but rare. I have never seen the hallways so crowded before. It does not feel right. I was thinking that perhaps when the clubs start running it might get better... I wish I could repeat this year. ... (Asked by Katherine P)

Personally, I wouldn't want my child to be stuck in an overcrowded school where she probably won't get the kind of individual attention that helps a child learn. I know that a long bus ride is rough, too, so I can sympathize with you. One possibility is to go to your family doctor and ask him to write a note to the school district if there are some good reasons why the long bus ride would be harmful to her. Chances are that he can think of a reason why she shouldn't spend that much time on the bus. And even if ...(Answered by wolfeblayde)
