Help!!! Ethics Question!!!?
Okay, here is my dilemma. I am taking Spanish and I have happened to find some test/quiz answers. The teacher does not create his own tests so, i was wondering if that was technically cheating. I purchased the answer workbook off of Amazon, I did not steal them. I do not use the test answers when we take the test. So, is this cheating or not?

of course not! that's what you call luck.
your teacher cannot accuse of cheating in any form because, in the first place, if he is really doing his job as a professional teacher he would not be lazy in doing his own test questionnaires.
it is not your fault if luck is on your side and it may just be a simple case of coincidence that you chanced upon "his" test/quiz on the internet. probably, he thought none of his students was diligent & smart enough to make some effort in studying his subject.
so, use it as your secret weapon! use it ...(Answered by Melody) |

Is a 670 on the math section of the SAT an acceptable score for one applying to a top college?
Overall, I received a 2270-- perfect scores on the critical reading and writing. My dilemma is this: although I am not planning on majoring in a math-related subject (I'm looking into journalism), I do hope to attend a competitive college. Also, as I am a year ahead of grade level in math, I'm positive I could receive a better score... but is it worth retaking the SAT for it?

I think on it's own now, your scores are already quite excellent. However, considering the fact that you are POSITIVE you will get a higher math score, perhaps it would be worthwhile to spend another four hours to push your score up even higher. Will you be able to achieve perfect scores in your Critical Reading and Writing section again? If not, just stick with your score now.
I'm wondering whether the colleges you're applying to only take the highest scores, or if they only look at the most recent test score.
Perhaps you should explain in your application that your ...(Answered by Gim) |

Taking AP Credit vs. Taking The Course Again?
This May I will be taking three AP tests (Calculus, English, Biology) and am planning to do very well on them due to that I have taken practice tests and done well on those. I have a dilemma though...I am not sure if I should take these classes again my freshman year. I think if I took them again, I would receive three easy A's. I realize this is not reaching my full potential, but I am afraid if I move up one level and take higher level classes in college, I will struggle and recieve lower grades. So...................what do ... (Asked by musicislife335) |

When I was a senior in high school, I took 3 AP tests also: English, Calculus AB and French. I got a passing (but not spectacular) grade on all three tests. When I applied to college I narrowed it down to 2 schools: School A (an almost ivy league university) would not accept the scores for any of the tests because the scores were only average. School B (a state university) accepted all of the scores because they were passing. I decided to go to school B (not solely based on this factor, but it helped my decision).
Based on ...(Answered by Juanita B) |
