Adaptive Equipment/ Assessments?? Does anyone know where I can find funds or grants to help with disalbed driving assessment, adaptive equipment maybe even driving lessons. they are very expensive. I was quoted $250 for an assessment, $85 an hour for lessons and that doesn't even include equipment (hand controls). We live in Nashville, TN. Please help! ... (Asked by sixicenine)

See if your insurance company or medicare/medicaid might reimburse you for the evaluations. Also try your driver's insurance...you never know they might have some clause or loophole. That's a broad question, since people with disabilities are a diverse population. One of the things you might want to do is check out what's out there--before you find yourself re-inventing the wheel! :) I've included some links below--the "RERCs" (Rehabilitation Engineering Research Centers) are a network of about 2 dozen research centers around the nation that develop adaptive tehnologies--and their websites also provide general information ad links. As to specifics, that's harder to answer--partly because tin my experience, the problem usually isn't that adaptichnology doesn't exist for most purposes--its that it's not available--or is either so overpriced ...(Answered by crabby_blindguy)

Looking for computer software that can manage inventory through UPC? Assistive technology equipment.? Yes I am posting this question 2 times. I am posting in 2 different catergories in hopes that it will help me find what I am looking for! Howdy all. I am looking for a paricular type of software that will allow be to utilize a checkout system for equipment. First of all, how much are you willing to spend? If your on a budget you won't find anything cheap or free that will meet your requirements. Most inventory software have other features included. You might not use them, but there standard as a package. You may use Microsoft Excel to do your simple task as to track inventory check in and out. Make a template with your requirement information such as names, ID's, Date, Item, etc. I'm sure you or someone can implement this Excel. This would be cheap, but not convenient. I don't know much about this topic but I did find a site that has a short footage of quarry mining. (Please note it is a commercial site... aka This is not spam.)
