What's law school like?
I'm thinking about going to law school next year. Can you tell me about your experiences as a law student, what was your area of expertise, what you liked and what you didn't like? Is there something I can do to prepare for law school, besides take the LSAT and read avidly? Are there things you wish you would have known or done before going into law school? Thanks! ... You've progressed a long way down the road to law school. You've learned how to gain admission to a program that fits your needs. You've explored how to find the money to pay for your legal education. But you may still have many questions. What's law school really like? Will my investment be worth it? Of course, your own answers to these questions lie in the future. In the meantime, however, you can read all about it and talk to people who have been there, done that. There are three 3 major educational disciplines to advertising. Marketing and research, Writing, and art. Depending on what sector you wish to follow pursue college level training in it. Major in creative writing or journalism, Marketing and Business Management, or Graphic design or video production. The next step is a little trickier in that you need to develop a portfolio. Internships can help, but you won't get paid very much if anything, Another tack is to try to get a part time job on a local newspaper or college newspaper. Additionally, a good way to build your portfolio is to offer to ...(Answered by rehobothbeachgui)

You should major in business. I am not sure what concentrations are offered in the business curriculum at your school. Some focus on small business or entrepreneurship which would not be for you. You need one that focuses on large enterprise. Talk to your guidance counselor about your minor. It will depend on what you specifically want to do. As a legislator it would be beneficial if you minor in a foreign language, however you may want to minor in economics and just take a foreign language as your elective. Another choice of ...(Answered by ÜFÖ)

What major would I be better off in at Syracuse University?
I am a focussed and motivated student at Syracuse University. I have the chance to be a Finance, Accounting, and Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises triple major in the Whitman School of Management, which is ranked 42nd in the country by BusinessWeek.com. Or, I have the choice to be a Public Relations, Television Radio Film (Management), or Advertising (Management) major in the SI Newhouse Communications School, which is one of the top schools in the country. Whichever choice I take, I feel may change my life down the road one way or another. I am not so passionate one way or ... (Asked by ztim21)

Boston College clearly ranks higher than Syracuse overall and if you ever wanted to go on to grad school including MBA or law school, you would be MUCH better off if you graduated from BC. If you stay at Syracuse, their communications school is clearly one of their best assets. The TRF sounds like it combines your interest in communications with your interest in management. There are going to be lots of changes in the media field in the upcoming decade with the growth of high speed internet and user generated content. This could be a very hot ...(Answered by sfox1_72)

In the long run, when studying is it better to focus on one area of expertise or diversify yourself?
I am nearly finished my degree and I didnt really focus on one area, I kinda switched all over the place. Having a broad foundation or background seems like a strength for your area because in time you will probably continue to become more focused on specific aspects of International Relations as you get started in your career. After all, if your degree is "International" and you only focus on a single country, then that would be like focusing on American Studies and only looking at Pennsylvania. The world is increasingly complex. Being well read and broadly educated and keeping your interest in diverse topics, people, and places will make you a winner in the years to come. Good luck! If you want to be a legislator, prepare to go to law schools. Lawyers seem to win elections more than people from any other profession. Good pre-law majors include history, political science, philosophy, and English. However, if you want to specialize in trade policy, an economics degree would really help you achieve that goal. So, if I were you, I would double major in economics (to get you to understand trade) and history, philosophy, or English (to help you prepare for the writing, research, and debate you'll do in Law School)....(Answered by Charles Fahringer)

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medical technique for unblocking chi (ch'i or qi) by inserting needles at particular points on the body to balance the opposing forces of yin and yang. Chi is an energy that allegedly permeates all things. It is believed to flow through the body along 14 main pathways called meridians.
