Any advice for a "mature" college student? I'm 26 and entering college for the first time, tomorrow. I waited so long to enter school...well, let's just say family circumstance change (read: newly single mom). First of all good luck! I was a single mother and had to go to college while working at a full time job. It is hard but you can do it. It paid off very well for me. 1. Sometimes you will get very frustrated. If you feel overwhelmed just remind yourself how good it will be at the end. 2. It will be very hard on your kids, but make sure to pay enough attention to them. Remember you are not the only one who is going through a big change. 3. Keep positive attitude.
