I want to get into computer forensics any suggestions on the degree i should start with? I have been thinking what i want to do with the rest of my life. I am a computer whiz already with two certs. | According to most US law enforcement agencies you need a hard sciences degree (biology, physics, etc) in order to work for them in their computer crime labs. So that may be a good way to start....(Answered by Drew W) | |

| Here's a good website to check out: http://www.forensicdna.com/index.htm There are lots of different careers in Forensic Science. Most (if not all) require at least a bachelors degree in a hard science, and many need a masters or doctorate degree. forensics science majors? for those who are majored in forensic science i have a question...ok im in a community college and my major now is biology science and i dont believe that they offer forensic in a community college..so since they dont offer that do i just continue taking my science courses then when i transfer to a four yr ill be able to choose forensic...im not sure how that works. i just know i need alot of science...if you happen to find a website about courses for forensics that would be great ... | yes, keep up with your sciences! With some forensic science degrees, a biology minor is permitted/recommended. Don't neglect your chemistry courses, please! Some kinesiology might be required, but on the whole, DNA, fingerprinting, anthropology, logic/reasoning, etc. courses are needed (don't worry about these, just take these in lieu of another elective; summer sessions will help with getting these out of the way). Get on the web, and search for universities that offer forensic science degrees. | well im a senior in HS and im majoring in forensic science next year and im either attending Penn State - University park or Long Island University- C.W Post. Both are amazing schools i just havent decided which yet .. some other schools that offer the program are..
