there are positives and negatives for both, but it depends on why you're doing it. if you just don't have the initiative to finish high school or apply for competitive colleges and universities, then that won't reflect well upon you to future employers. however, if you don't feel challenged by school, that's a good reason to opt to take the ged, so you can move onto college. there's certainly nothing wrong with going to a city college, especially if you can't afford an expensive private institution. or if you're unsure of what you'd like to do with your life, it's ...(Answered by ctccoord14621)

I'm on a committee that gives out 2 scholarships a year to college students. Last year we had 43 applicants. Forget about being in the Key Club, NHS, or other student organizations. see no 1 can help u getting a job.....isnt there any placement section in ur college.....I dont think Bcom is a degree enough to get a decent job......u may get 1 in the call centre but I wont say that is decent enough....its upto u to decide.....I wud say go for PG maybe MBA or sumthing like that...(Answered by abhishek b)

Basically, there is only student loans offered from the FAFSA form, but some colleges do offer some limited scholarships. However, most scholarships out there are for undergraduate students. However, it is possible to locate scholarships for MBA students. Some places assume that students will have maybe a tuition reimbursement plan from employment. If your receiving scholarship money and there is leftover they will usu sally send a balance check per quarter after the last drop date of your class. It is the same if your doing loans. It usually ends up being about the 3rd week into your class before they send out a check. I would double check with your school's financial aid department to nail down a time. I would also ask them if you will need to claim the balances as income....(Answered by Lori D)

Think about things which you are interested in and start looking for a job which is related to your interests. I think real estate course would be great. The RE market in booming and I'm sure you can easily find a job in that, probably as an consultant or sales. Its quite exciting to work in the RE industry....(Answered by sealove)

I was wondering If I applied for a student loan, do I get to request how much I need? and Do I have to prove that I am using it for school? If you get a student loan and you are enrolled in a school, they usually do not check what you used it for. After tuition was paid to the school, I received the remaining amount in my checking account. I used it for rent and whatnot. So I did see the money. However, because you would be using it for personal use, like fixing your car, I'd suggest applying for a loan through a credit union or if possible, through your parents' bank (if you are still a dependent)....(Answered by Beatrice25)
