What's it like in the University of Iowa? See, I finally found out what university I wanna go to, I heard Iowa has an outstanding writing program. I figured that this is the one I wanna go to. But one of my friends told me that there's a lot of earthquakes and crazy stuff over there. But since he's never been there, I don't really believe him. It is a 2-yr graduate program that awards a MFA degree upon completion of a creative thesis. http://www.uiowa.edu/~iww/ Many noted, successful, and award-winning writers have emerged from that program. I'm not in Iowa, so I have no idea. I'm going to assume that not many people are going to be familiar with Chariton, Iowa. Check your local Target... Salvation Army... Goodwill. What kind of FREE school supplies are you looking for? Call local churches. You're best bet is to call the school directly and ask them what you will need. I would plan on a birth certificate, and her immunizations, as well as a copy of her latest physical. Hope this helps....(Answered by lorlor5683)

I think the answer is generally to find something outdoors that you enjoy. Many people in Iowa are outdoor enthusuasts, since many of them were or are related to farmers. They have some rail lines that have been converted to biking trails, and many other recreational things like that. You do have to remember that in many respects Iowa is what would have happened if the Amish decided to avoid new technology starting in the 1970's....(Answered by Alex)
