I took the ISEE and got into the school i wanted.. take the Princeton's Review ISEE book guide- and practice, practice, practice! there are a bunch of questions and practice tests in there go to amazon and buy it or to your local bookstore...(Answered by punkdancer234)

If you don't want to pay anything, ur basically screwed. All you can really do is go back and look at old text books that you have has previous years. But buying a prep book or taking a class is really helpful. You can also buy reader's digest and they have a vocab. section. Start memorizing those... or reading them....(Answered by s_cllin)

I don't think that they have the same essay topic for each test - at least for the SSAT, for each test, they even have different topics, but of course, that is a different test - I would suggest getting sample topics online or from one of the books that help you study for the SSAT/ISEE....(Answered by chococat)

ISEE test preparation, what was your experience? I am 13 yrs old and a boy and am taking the ISEE standardized test in 8 days [saturday december 9th] at 9:00 am. i am usually not exactly at my best at that time. can you reccomend a way for me to be more alert, awake and ready to take the most important test i've taken yet? also, are there any other tips that u have? My experience was very satisfactory. I think there's a whole section on To Kill A Mockingbird, so you better read up! Make sure you eat breakfast but don't overeat or else you'll be sleepy, wear comfortable clothes. And get plenty of rest the night before--no staying up late and watching MTV young man! Good luck on the test and don't freak out about it, you'll do fine. Don't 2nd guess your answer, the first one usually is the correct one....(Answered by Munya Carr)

No, it's definately something not to stress out about. I remember that I didn't take a prep course and did really well...i took it before middle school and again before high school...i didn't even study for the one before middle school, and i glanced over a book for the hs one..although i didn't take prep courses i did even better than people who took super expensive prep courses.... If you do well in school...you have nothing to worry about...there should be a counselor/someone that helps you get into schools/tells you where to apply.
