My daughter was in Army JROTC in high school for several years. It was a valuable experience for her, and she rose through the ranks to become an officer. She was an excellent student, and she had dreams of becoming a military lawyer. After the Iraq situation began, she rethought her interest in the military, because she does not agree with the U.S. action in Iraq (although she supported the action in Afghanistan.) So she dropped out of JROTC. Many of her classmates in JROTC did enlist, and we still hear from some of them. ...(Answered by sonomanona)
