Q.
unfair new principal, my final in History was misgraded, the whole class, and she won't fix it.?
My school got a new principal. Which I had no problem with, I'm a sophmore and had never really met him. I have a 4.0. The first day she took all the students out of class and yelled. It was the first day and she already had an "idea" about us. She came from the "good" school. She told a white kid (during the "trouble" assembly) that he would succede because of his skin color. Every day she makes new rules, each one more complicated than the rest. You have to enter the lunch room a certain way, single-filed, and the ... (Asked by kay m)

Um, could you get your parents and your friends parents to write and complain, without telling the principal whose parents they are, to stop her getting you in trouble. Writing often gets further with unreasonable people, because they have longer to think about it. Also, if that doesn't work you could write to the head of education in your city or something and tell them politely everything that has happened in a mature manner I'm not an expert on clothes shops in Alabama, but I'd imagine you can get long skirts in old ladies shops, for the time being!...(Answered by Amy R)

Problems with my 7 year old daughter on the school bus. Help!?
My 7 year old daughter is a very high functioning autistic child. She's getting great grades in regular school, is a beautiful kid, and generally a very happy kid, despite having a few communications problems. She is a tough kid, never bothered by scraping her knee or falling down, etc. She does cry easily if someone forgets to put her favorite scarf or mittens in her backpack when she comes home from school or if she feels like her schedule has been changed without warning her in advance. Some of the bigger kids on the bus have been teasing her ... (Asked by michaelsmaniacal)

I am sorry to hear that your daughter is going through this. It is a very common problem, especially on school buses. From the perspective of a retired "used to be" elementary school principal, the school bus is the most difficult area to control in terms of behavior. You have to go to the school first. Talk to the principal and explain what is happening and ask what plan the school has to deal with bullies. Most schools today have an anti-bullyng plan in place because bullying has become such a problem in schools. Before you ...(Answered by )

Q.
should stupid little catholic skools b allowed to give uniform violations if youre not even wearing it?
our school has "dressy free dress", meaning girls wear a skirt about 2-3 inches above our knees and a sleeved shirt. guys wear "slacks" and a collared shirt. anyways, i wore a skirt like 2 days ago for picture day that was up to my thighs, but i had leggings on. this lady gave me a warning, but i didnt take here seriously cuz when i told her (joking) oh, i have a shorter one at home, i shouldve worn that, she laughed and didnt say anything. but today i wore a different skirt longer than ... In my opinion, school is not fair at all. She let you slide on the first one and you pushed your luck when you wore the second one. They have a dress code for a reason and you violated it when you wore the skirt. Your answer back was rude and uncalled for....(Answered by jbpammy004)

I'm sorry to hear your in pain. but I would explain that to your professor and see if they can setup on-line assignments. for a couple of weeks till you get back on your feet. if not I would consider not taking a leave. I know from experience that once you leave if is so hard to catch back up. and that can become very intimidating. so I would think really hard about it. there is only a few weeks left till break. Good Luck in what ever you decide....(Answered by David M)

What should we do about my little sister's teacher?
My family just moved to another state and while I am homeschooled, my little sister just started a new public school. She is in the fourth grade and while she just started going about a week and a half ago, we are already having problems with her teacher. For one thing, she scraped her knee the other day and went to tell the teacher. So the teacher said, "Are you going to die?" and my little sister said, "No." Then the teacher asked, "Are you sure?" and my sister said "Yes." However, it really hurt her feelings. We live in ... Well most people that want to be teachers do not have the mentality to be a teacher. I would talk to the school Administrators about this. The problem seems to be that the teacher has no Tact when talking to children. This is something that needs to be addressed soon. By the way I just read J.D. answer saying that the teacher has to prepare the students for the outside world. Well JD how does telling kids they are going to be called Hillbillies helping them. Think about it dude. you are just old and set in your ways....(Answered by SuperSoldierGIJOE)

if you're building an actual realistic model of a knee joint, that won't be easy at all since there are floating parts (patella) and such. but anyway, you know that poplar wood is very close to the actual density and strength of human bones? they proved it on mythbusters. what other kind of material do you think you're going to be able to use, if you can't use wood? it's perfect, since it can be screwed into, nailed into, glued, etc. there will be NO suitable replacement that you can obtain easily. for example, you could ...(Answered by riloh keen)
