I think you would have to be a qualified teacher and go through training. Look at the examination board sites (eg EdExcel) - they have vacancy sections for assessors and markers....(Answered by Sleepwalker)

Permanent Marker on a White Board?
Someone at my university used permanent marker on a whiteboard in a room where I frequently teach. I've heard that alcohol may remove the offending marker... Does anyone know if this well actually work without harming the white board? Thanks! ... (Asked by ThePaulson)

yes, alcohol does work, also nail polish remover is extremely effective. I've also heard that hair spray works as well, although I havent tried that one out. But nail polish will be able to get the marker off....(Answered by loveablegirlybg)

How can I become an examination marker? I currently have a PGCE and QTS (Primary) and CELTA qualification.?
I would like to mark examination papers for either English or maths at KS3 or the KS2 SAT's at the end of year 6. Do I have to contact one of the examination boards (such as Edexcel) or some other regulating body? Is there any type of test/intetrview that I have to sit? ... (Asked by Ozi)

Yes, you should apply to one of the examination organisations. If you look on their websites, they will be recruiting now. There is an application form where you will need someone to act as a referee. It is slave labour! The answers are set in concrete long before you attend the "training" sessions. There are very few cases where you can use your "professional judgement"....(Answered by beech7wood2000)
