Does it worry you that your children's teachers may be under-qualified? I ask this question because I know plenty of people who are almost finished their Education degrees. These students, despite their years of higher education, have not bothered to pick up basic skills such as proper grammar, spelling, and sentence composition. This includes students who are supposedly nearly-qualified as English teachers! Sometimes I worry that my future children might be learning from a teacher who has poor language skills. I wonder how these future teachers will compose decent memos, newsletters and report card comments for parents to read. I home school. Among the reasons are the ones that you list regarding qualifications / teacher quality. I also taught for a couple of years in the public school system (second career experiment). I also completed a masters certification program in education. An education program at college is more about how to be politically correct, how to avoid lawsuits and such. Very little attention is given to actual subject matter. Teachers should have to take the same standardized tests as their students. First, the condo office told me that there was no water DAMAGE, BUT then changed their* mind and charge* me for the water damage. Their is a bit tricky: the condo office should be an "it" not a "their"; however it should be an "it" with more than one mind. Probably the best is "changed their minds" or you could rephrase to something like "backtracked". Would add to and from above subject. The rest would depend on if you request has been approved. If it has would add as approved and what you state except would give specific starting and ending date. Please I'm 30yrs old and I am illiterate...what should it do??? Hi everyone i need your help. i can read but i can't write. I can't communicate with my family via e-mail because i cannot write. No. Your only hurting your own education by not doing it yourself. So challenge yourself and do it on your own. Some tips I can give you are: Visualize your audience Remember your tone and how you are coming across *Use basic words, difficult words will cloud your message and make it harder to convey. Sorry!
