can the NAACP help pay for my student loans?
I have some student loans that I desperately need help repaying the student loan commission is about to garnish my wages and if they do this then my 3 children and myself will be out on the streets I just started my job and I tried to set up a payment plan and I was treated like garbage so I am wondering who can help me cause I was told by the account manager of my loan that I need to put down 50% of my loan and pay $300.00 a month for 9 months before my loan comes ... You can defer a student loan for multiple reasons..economic hardship, unemployment, underemployment. You can even pay interest only for 2 years. I would contact the commission and ask them about a deferment. The most they could do is tell you no. If you are in default and you defer..they take the past due amount and add it back in to the amount you owe....(Answered by scrappysmom) |
