I don't quite understand the question; in WW2 the Nazis declared Klimt one of the "degenerate artists", some of his works were destroyed but I don't know if that was in one of their witchunts or not. A few monochrome prints have survived. After Krystalnacht effectively bankrupted the govt (the broken glass would have needed half the glass industries annual output to replace) the Nazis resorted to raising money by selling degenerate art instead of burning it, and some of Klimts pieces ended up in the States. Hitler's religion is described here: http://www.nobeliefs.com/hitler.htm It seems to be largely unknown, but mainly Christian with a healthy dose of mysticism. He was raised as a Catholic, and vocally denounced athiesm (http://www.infidels.org/library/historical/unknown/hitler.html) Other officials within the Nazi regieme were Christian, mostly Catholic although certainly plenty of Protestants, too. Most of the Poles where just as cruel as the Nazis themselves. Some of them actually joined the Nazis. Others reported the Jews to the Nazis to be killed, told out their hiding places, watched thousands of children die of starvation daily and did nothing. Treatment? Obviously not too nice.
