| I'm sure they're keeping it... they wouldn't not hire someone one and do the work themselves if they had to give the money back. I don't know the guidelines for how long the position can be vacient before they are pentalized but I'd better they're holding it long, forcing teachers to pick up the slack until that time comes....(Answered by Nathan W) | |

| humility, bitterness, stealing (gerund as noun), ownership, authorship, sweetness, concealment, gluttony, (rascal? it is already a noun, and also an adjective), bondage, (weep; cry? I don't think there is a noun related to them directly, you'd need to try something different). Look for websites on affixation (in these cases, you are dealing with suffixation; -ness, -ment, -age and the like are all suffixes)....(Answered by gaby_f_leiva) | |

Is large-scale home-based tuition illegal? My relative in Singapore found a tuition teacher to give english tuition to his daughter. This teacher holds the tuition at a HDB flat to 10-12 students at a time. At other periods, my relative also saw many other students going in and out. He is therefore worried that such home-based "tuition centre" is considered illegal, since it is apparently not licensed. Is there any way to check? What will happen to that teacher or the HDB owner if such activities are really illegal? ... (Asked by Serendipitous) |

The authorities are likely to take action only if there are complaints filed against the activities....(Answered by calvin o) | |

| No Schools and libraries are exempt from the copyright laws UNLESS a fee is charged specifically for the screening (such as a noon movie). Title 17 of US law specifically exempts Libraries and Teachers and Schools from the copyright laws. That is why there are photocopy machines in the library. That's why students can make copies of books. Teachers can make copies of sheet music and hand them out to students, but the students are supposed to shred them after the class has finished for the semester. I know, I worked for a library for 23 years and had talks ...(Answered by Earl D) | |
