It depends on paper that you are doing and the percentage you have to get differs from year to year. Sometimes, when everybody does really well on an exam, the exam board will change the mark bounderies next time to make it more difficult to get an A, vice versa if everybody does badly. When I did my GCSE we had to get 80% to get an A, then for my science exam it increased to 90%. Your best off asking a teacher or the examination officer (if your school/college has one)...(Answered by illyriacity)

THe normal school year in the USA is between 180 - 190 full days (approx 8AM - 2:30PM) Classes normally last for the entire year. A class would normally meet for about 50 minutes to one hour. A percentage is the top part of a fraction whose bottom part is 100. So 50% means 'half of' and 25% means 'a quarter of'. 100% means the complete quantity. Example: 50/100=1/2 25/100=1/4 100/100=1 the whole lot. RULE:- You simply turn it into a fraction by writing it over 100. Then cancel down if possible....(Answered by VelvetRose)

79 40% + 60% = 100 58 X 40% = 23.2% overall - but this will probably be rounded down. So your mark X 60% needs to be greater than 47% overall which is 79. 79 X 60% = 70.6 good luck but I hope this isn't a maths exam...(Answered by sashs.geo)

My son is in GT in 4th grade. They received a school report card that gives percentages. It has TAKS test percentages among different races. It also has TAKS failers promoted by grade placement committee. It goes on to list the different races and percentages of those students that failed the test that were promoted The percentages were for reading White 86.8%, hispanic 92.9%, and 100% african american. That was reading TAKS test. And math isn't much different either. The african american was the same. These results were for 2005. My feelings are anger. Even though the white students ...
