| don't know about scholarships, but if you join the military, you can be part of the G.I. Bill program which will help pay for school. Also you can get some aviation training in the meantime while you serve....(Answered by Deu) | |

Do Indian Banks give educational Loan for Piloting training / course to be done in INDIA or Abroad? Piloting is the todays increasing requirement. | I don't know what "fess is the maater" is supposed to mean in English but yes, there are a few airlines that have sponsorships. They are extremely competitive and accept very few of their applicants though. Go to the message boards at http://www.pprune.com and search for "cadet scheme" or "sponsorship" and you will find hundreds of posts on that topic and the airlines that offer it....(Answered by Av8trxx) | |

I am thinking of starting a scholarship for young aspiring pilots, does anyone else think this is a good idea? First, here is my history, I have always wanted to be a pilot, and came from a middle class family that had no money for me to go to college. I joined the Army, and served my years, now I am trying to go back to flying, and I have financial commitments that I never had. I am thinking of starting a sholarship for people my age that will pay for ALL of flight school if they complete it. If not they would be required to pay it back. | I'm not sure about India, but I can tell you about Canada. It takes 5-10 years to actually become an airline pilot, and before you do, you will be making peanuts. But once you get with an airline, the salaries range from $100,000-$400,000. It all depends on where you fly, and what you fly, and both are based on seniority. If you fly an Embraer from Toronto to Montreal, you're probably looking at around $100,000 or a bit less.
