I agree with cyanne, but have this to add: if you were late on payments to your student loans, and can show reasonable cause (illness, lose of income due to no fault of your own, etc.) but the end result was they were paid, you may still be eligible for the grant. If you outright defaulted on them, non-payment, did not contact FSLD to enter a work-out program, you are not eligible for any federal grants....(Answered by Scaramouche000)
