| If there's mildew in the book, you'll first need to gently vacuum each page, using the brush attachment. And if the pages are damp, dry them thoroughly, even outdoors, if possible, but not in direct sunlight. Then, to absorb odors, sprinkle each page with baking soda or cornstarch, and place the book in a plastic bag for a week or two. When you remove it, turn it upside down and ruffle the pages to shake out the excess powder....(Answered by Daphaney) | |

| It is used to identify how many generations apart two people are. First cousins have a common set of grandparents. If those cousins have children, the children are second cousins because they share a common set of great-grandparents. However, the relationship between a first cousin and the child of a first cousin is a first cousin once removed relationship, because the two relatives in question are one generation apart. By the way, you can't be someone's grandmother twice removed - it only refers to cousins - children (or grandchildren or great...grandchildren) of siblings....(Answered by jimbob) | |

| When the word "removed" is used to describe a relationship, it indicates that the two people are from different generations. You and your first cousins are in the same generation (two generations younger than your grandparents), so the word "removed" is not used to describe your relationship. The words "once removed" mean that there is a difference of one generation. For example, your mother's first cousin is your first cousin, once removed. This is because your mother's first cousin is one generation younger than your grandparents and you are two generations younger than your grandparents. This one-generation difference equals "once removed." Twice ...(Answered by ) | |

| Generally the shell is very hard, so hard that you can crack it without cracking the nut on the inside. The shell fractures but the fracture lines don't necessarily transfer into the very soft inside (or if they do, it's too difficult to notice since the nut part doesnt' crack like that)....(Answered by <moore850>) | |

| You can still use characters no longer on the keyboard... Here's How: Click the Start Button, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, then select Character Map. You'll be presented with a screen that has lots of different symbols. When you click (and hold) a symbol, it gives you an enlarged preview of it. To actually select the symbol: 1. Click the symbol you want. 2. Click the Select button, then the Copy button. This will copy your symbol onto the clipboard where you can then paste it into any word processing program. I hope this helps you. :0)...(Answered by Betty) | |
