I am in special ed, but am in gifted. I am wondering if it is considered dishonest to not put the fact that i had an IEP on a resume applying for a job. You weren't offered a job because you're gifted? That doesn't sound right, unless you're applying for an extremely low level job and they're afraid that you're too smart and wouldn't stay with it. Don't put your IEP on your resume, but you can still let your potential employer know that you're bright. When you list your high school diploma and graduation date on your resume make sure you make a notation that you took advanced, honors, or AP classes. Employers are not required to follow the modifications and accommodations on your IEP - in fact, many may not ...(Answered by TeacherLady)

You could include some of the usual stuff, phrases that appear in a lot of Objectives: To use my knowledge, experience, and aptitude to work: * with students with special needs. * with students requiring specialized attention and care * in a school that supports needs of students and teachers * in an environment that fosters the best in every child * in a district that appreciates the unique abilities in every child etc., etc. Think about what's important to you in a job and include that....(Answered by FallDownLaughing)
