| There are a lot of different kinds of scholarships that vary greatly in their amount. Also, you can get scholarships in a lot of different ways (academics, athletics, clubs & organizations, etc.). To answer your question, I don't think there's really any sort of meaningful average. It depends on the individual student and what he or she excels at. Personally, I got an academic scholarship that paid my tuition only. I also got a scholarship that was a one time payment of $250. In 4 years, you can have $66,000 for college, not a loan, and have a BA degree completed when you get out, and training in the job you choose, with management experience by teh age of 22.
