hhhmm.... luck is really hard to define. It could happen when it comes to finding job or something like that. I think the truth is that luck doesn't have much to do with success especially when it comes to exams. One of my prof wouldn't say "Good luck" for our finals.... for one obvious reason.... hard work....(Answered by Jess3e)

A.
Dear Clecle, 1. If you really mean what you wrote, then the answer to question 1 is 0.86 because if the third stage is successful then the first two stages must have also been successful. Perhaps you, or the author of the problem, intended that the listed probabilities for success of the second and third stages be conditioned on the success of the earlier stages, but that is NOT what you have stated. A.
Poverty itself, does not hinder success. Mindset does. My Mom used to always tell me "don't have a project mentality, you'll never go anywhere"...and by that she meant the mentality of the people in public housing(not all of them)...alot of them have generations in their family raised by welfare and haven't been anywhere outside of the block, let alone the state, country or anywhere else-therefore there tends to be a feeling of this is my home, my stomping grounds. And unfortunately this mindset will subconciously keep them living within the boundaries of ghetto poverty, never moving on or away to ...(Answered by mybootyisthatbig79)

Law-enforcement officials everywhere in the United States now had a duty to arrest anyone suspected of being a runaway slave on no more evidence than a claimant's sworn testimony of ownership. The suspected slave could not ask for a jury trial or testify on his or her ...(Answered by MikeInRI)
