UCLA Summer Sessions? I'm from Australia and attending UCLA Summer Sessions for 6 weeks in June 2007. Any tips? Staying at Saxon Residential Suites - what are they like? What events do the campus have (ie trips to disneyland) Are there any good 18+ nightclubs to go to? Overall, what to do when I'm there, and what the place (campus and residences) are like. Stories would be awesome :) ... (Asked by so_tired88) |

| Saxon Suites are made up of clusters of two bedroom, one bathroom suites with a living room (the living room is the main thing that makes Saxon different from other on-campus facilities). During the year, many older students live in Saxon, and the people there are considered more independent, there isn't as much socializing within the buildings as you would find in the Residence Halls. I don't know if this is true for the summer as well. I'd say your biggest challenge will be finding transportation. LA has a million things to do (Disneyland, etc.) but you need ...(Answered by Lilly) | |

| I'd strongly encourage you to study the language while you are there if not also before you arrive. It will deepen your level of interaction and cultural understanding. It will also change the nature of your interactions with the Italian people that you meet. Making an effort to communicate in the native language shows respect, interest and demonstrates that you are more adventuresome! This will help you to make friends and thus get a more nuanced perspective as people will be more willing to open up and share their thoughts ideas etc (even if they have ...(Answered by DLamitie) | |
