How did you know that you wanted to be a teacher? Did you plan on being a teacher since like forever? What made you decide you wanted to be a teacher? did you regret this descion? I always though that I wantedto be a teacher, and now i am not so sure. i am very mixed up. i am frightened to tell anyone because they might tell my parents. is this just a whim, or have i really changed my mind???? ... | I have always wanted to be a teacher. Growing up, that was my favorite game, pretending to be a teacher. I will graduate in May with my degree in teaching. The best advice I could give you, is to take a year off from school, and maybe explore who you are. I am a non-traditional student who took 6 years off from school before going to college. I appreciate my education more, and I have a better understanding of the person that I am. I see many college students who don't know what they want in life. just wanted to ask what student teachers thought of their experience.is it anything like having your own class i have 2 more months left of student teaching before i graduate. although i am learning a ton everyday and i have an awesome co-operating teacher, i am counting the days until i am done! it is very hard to take over someone's class. just like no 2 people are alike, i guess no 2 teachers are alike but it seems as though you have to "act" as much like the co-operating teacher as much as possible. don't get me wrong, i am having a great time and learning a lot but i just can't wait to ... | I remember student teaching and it is NOTHING like having your own class. I thought it was harder because you are trying to combine your style, yet stay consistent with the teacher's style. Having your own class is more work, but it is actually easier because you are in control. But all the work is on your shoulders so if that is how you define "hard" then perhaps it is. | Hi Christina. I am also looking at teaching jobs in other states. Once you have researched the school district via website, learn all the application process from the human resources dept. and apply. If you've applied online, you can still fax or send them a cover letter and resume. Check out that state's Dept. of Education or state board of education for certification process. Don't pay attention to dumb people who would have never gotten anywhere if it weren't for teachers who took time to make a difference on their lives. My girlfriend wanted time off. So I left that moment she told me about it. Is that wrong? Last night my girlfriend and I argued and at first I mentioned that maybe we should take time off for a week. It all started because she gave a guy a ride from work to his house for the 2nd time. I told her it bother me and told her that why can't he just find his own ride somewhere else. | You need to talk to her about the problem and leave out the whole "time off" or "break" thing. That's how misunderstandings happen. Your whole situation reminds me of the episode of Friends where Ross and Rachel are on a break. I know that's a sitcom but you wouldn't want to break up without really knowing for sure what's going on.
