Why dont schools teach what you really need to know? Ie... office politics and how to deal with back stabbing bitchy types. How HR people think in terms like cvs and all they wacko notions of what certian things mean which are total crap. Networking. employee rights. Typing, operating faxes, copiers etc. Or subject related. Ie often fitness training and body building if likely job will involve picking stuff up like say electrician and thick wires. Or for lighting things like handling heights. For say the media industry if in the uk... I agree, the curriculum is totally irrelevant to what is relevant in real life, for instance, you aint never going to go into tesco and pick up a tin of beans of the shelf and see on the price label "X+Z+Y" are you? its ok if you are going to be a rocket scientist but most of us wont be. Also teachers are as much to blame in the office politics stakes as they look after some of their pupils whose "faces fit" and shun others. usualy these pupils are "snobs" offsprings and get better opportunities than their lesser off ...(Answered by mighty_mick77)

In the summer, there are a lot more monkeys that hang on them. When it's warmer outside, the monkeys come out at around midnight and play around while everyone sleeps. And, since they're monkeys, the love to hang on stuff. Those transmission lines are perfect! You may also find that during the winter, when it's really cold outside, monkeys all hide deep in forests. Absolutely not.. the thickness of the wire is the wire's ability(in general terms) to carry a heaver current... You would not want a small wire leading to a switch that turned on 10 or so big light bulbs.... It would heat the wire and cause a fire so the wire has to be of certain strength to carry the load adequately and not to cause a fire.....(Answered by norman7774)

First, take the bulb out of a flashlight. Carefully remove about an inch of the plastic covering on both ends of two one foot lengths of wire. Attach one bare end to the bottom of a D-sized battery (good tape might work). Attach the other end of this wire to the SIDE of the metal part of the bulb. Attach one end of the other wire to the top of the battery. And attach the end of this wire to the bottom of the bulb. That should do it!...(Answered by NOBOBO)
